Employers will have a range of full and part-time vacancies on offer and visitors will get an opportunity to also talk to them about training courses and the new apprenticeships which are available for all ages.

Councillor Anna Keen, Cabinet Member for education and skills, said:

“Attending a jobs fair is a fantastic way to meet a number of employers, and find out about a range of different opportunities, all under one roof. Talking to prospective employers face to face can help you find out more about the jobs on offer and whether they are right for you.

“Working in the care sector is incredibly rewarding, and there will be a wide range of different opportunities on offer. You don’t need to already have been trained to take on these roles, your employer will do that for you, but you do need to you need to have desire to make a difference to people’s lives

“This jobs fair particularly focuses on supporting of our Proud to Care campaign which celebrates those already working in caring roles and helps us to attract new recruits.”

Employers attending have signed up to the Proud to Care standard which aims to improve the quality for everyone in Health and Care – staff and clients.
