Inspiring staff

Building collaborative staff networks to share best practice, find solutions to common problems and offer continued professional development by:

  • Developing cross-school networking opportunities for staff to learn with and from each other
  • Identifying future education leaders and collectively providing opportunities to develop their career and skills
  • Working together to address skills and knowledge gaps within governing bodies.

Current BEP projects to inspire staff:

Bristol Teacherfest

A month-long programme of CPD events takes place in June and is open to all Bristol teachers, with sessions from local, national and international speakers.

BEP Staff Networks

There are a range of staff networks bringing colleagues together on different themes and in different subject areas to share practice and learn from each other. Examples include: PSHE Hub, History Group; Careers Advisers Network and Pride Network.

BEP Staff Leadership Programmes

In association with University of Bristol School of Education a range of staff leadership programmes have been developed to equip current and aspiring school leaders with the skills and competences to be effective in their role. The programmes consist of three elements:

  • Skills development
  • Action research
  • School to school collaboration
